Hi there! My name is Evita, and I am a doula, perinatal coach, birth rights advocate, and mother. I believe in providing holistic, evidence-based, and compassionate care to families throughout their entire journey to parenthood. With my experience in sociology and anthropology, as well as my education in coaching and yoga, I view childbirth and early parenting from multiple angles. Whether you are pregnant, giving birth, experiencing postpartum, or navigating the joys and challenges of early parenthood, I am here to support you.
Having given birth as an expat in Amsterdam, I appreciate the power of community and connection during the profound moment of birth. As someone who has also worked extensively with expat families in Greece, Netherlands, Denmark, France, and Poland and have created a large community of foreign families giving birth in Greece, I am well-versed in the unique needs of those giving birth abroad. I have gained expertise in supporting families through the challenges and uncertainties of giving birth in a foreign country. With a deep understanding of the cultural and practical differences that arise in this context, I provide comprehensive support that is tailored to each family's specific needs. Whether you are navigating the healthcare system in a foreign language, adapting to unfamiliar customs, or simply feeling isolated, I am here to provide you with the expert doula care and guidance you need.
I hold space for all the needs, fears, and wishes of expectant families, free of judgement, and regardless of my own views.
As a passionate advocate for birthing rights, the intersection of feminism and childbirth, and understanding obstetric violence as a form of gender-based violence, I frequently take part in related campaigns and communities.
Currently, I am based in Athens with my partner and daughters, Danai and Philippa, while often traveling to support clients in Amsterdam, Copenhagen, and other locations. I am fluent in Greek and English, and I also have some knowledge of basic Dutch.
